Department of Housing and Urban Development – VASH Program – The HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program combines Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance for homeless veterans with case management and clinical services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
National Resources
National Coalition for Homeless Veterans – The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans is the resource and technical assistance center for a national network of community-based service providers and local, state, and federal agencies that provide housing, employment services, case management, legal aid, and other supportive services to thousands of veterans experiencing or at-risk of homelessness each year.
U.S. Vets – US Vets provide housing, employment and, counseling services to the nation’s veterans as well as the men and women from all branches of the armed forces.

Veterans Crisis Line – The Veterans Crisis Line is a free, confidential resource that’s available 24/7. The responders at the Veterans Crisis Line are specially trained and experienced in helping veterans of all ages and circumstances.
National Resource Directory – The National Resource Directory is a resource website that connects wounded warriors, service members, veterans, their families, and caregivers to programs and services that support them. It provides access to services and resources at the national, state, and local levels to support recovery, rehabilitation, and community reintegration.
Veterans of Foreign Wars – A nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, guard, and reserve forces. They have many programs and services that work to support veterans, service members, and their families, as well as communities worldwide.
Military.com – One of the leading websites for military members, veterans, and their families that provide daily defense news, benefits information, veteran employment resources, spouse and family resources and tools to support throughout the life cycle of their military service and post-service life.

California Department of Veteran Affairs – The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) works to serve California Veterans and their families get the state and federal benefits they have earned and deserve as a result of selfless and honorable military service.

211LA – Veteran Services – This portal allows veterans to search for and access needed services on their own or with the help of a personal navigator.
Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) Program – The VASH Program provides rental assistance to homeless veterans and their families in combination with case management and clinical services through the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) of Greater Los Angeles.
Military and Veterans Affairs – County of Los Angeles – The Department of Military Veterans Affairs provides counseling and assistance and acts as an advocate for veterans, their dependents and survivors regarding entitlements to benefits.
Network of Care – Veterans – The Network of Care for Service Members, Veterans, and their families provides veterans with resources on agencies, programs, and facilities catering specifically to veterans.
New Directions for Veterans – New Directions for Veterans offers a wide array of services including substance abuse treatment, counseling, remedial education, job training and placement, as well as parenting and money management classes.
The Salvation Army (Southern California) – Veterans Services – The Salvation Army operates six programs in Southern California that focus on substance abuse, recovery, and treatment of mental illness.

They provide essential programs to empower the resiliency and professional development of women warriors to navigate obstacles and realize their maximum potential after their service career.
Wounded Warrior Project – A nonprofit organization that assists veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound while serving in the military, and provides access to free programs and services to begin their journey to recovery.
Resources for Subsidized Housing
Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) – Homeless Incentive Program (HIP) – HIP offers monetary incentives to encourage landlords to rent their available units to LACDA’s homeless Section 8 voucher holders.
Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) – Open Doors – Open Doors provides property owners with monetary and non-monetary assurances who rent their available units to subsidized families.
Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) – Homeless Incentive Program – HACLA has partnered with the Los Angeles County Development Authority to provide homeless incentive payments to private landlords to house applicants from HACLA’s homeless housing assistance programs.
